Be Still and Know

In our loud, fast paced, entertainment oriented, over-stimulated society, where do you find stillness and quiet? How do you share that with a child? How do you teach children to listen, not just to listen and obey but to listen and hear the things that you only hear in still quiet places ...

  1. Jason has taught our kids a variety of different ways to pray at bedtime and one of them is "listening prayers". I don't think they would stand for it if I tried to make them slow down and have quiet time during the day, but they've learned that prayer is a naturally calming activity and how to open their minds to what God has to tell them.
